Lake Coeur d’Alene Cabin Design Progresses

Chris Patano on December 10, 2012

Our favorite project front and center on the boards is a new cabin on the shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho. From this initial sketch we have developed a design to compliment the original 1950’s mod family cabin on the site. Large overhangs protect the cabin from the distinctive four seasons that occur in the area. A modern window wall is juxtaposed with a rustic cabin element. The varying widths of the tree trunks of the adjacent fir, pine and cedar trees are represented in the spacing of the structure.

We will be posting the evolution of this design as we near completion of the construction documents.
